What is BookYourStylist?
BookYourStylist is a client booking and account tool used by independent stylists and salons. Each participating business has its own client-facing BookYourStylist experience for services, booking, registration, account access, and other features that business chooses to use.
Is BookYourStylist a salon directory or marketplace?
No. BookYourStylist is not a salon listing site, stylist marketplace, ranking site, or general discovery directory. Clients normally use the personalized link provided by the stylist or salon they already know.
Will BookYourStylist show me other salons or competing stylists?
No. The client experience is designed to stay focused on the business whose BookYourStylist site you are using. We do not use that booking experience to advertise competing salons, promote nearby providers, or suggest that you shop among other participating stylists.
How do I find my stylist on BookYourStylist?
Your stylist or salon will normally give you their personalized BookYourStylist link. Use that address to access the services and client tools offered by that business.
Do I need an account to book an appointment?
No. You can book as a New Salon Customer without creating a permanent BookYourStylist login. Creating an account is optional and can make future visits easier by giving you access to appointment history and other participating client features.
What is the difference between a New Salon Customer and a BookYourStylist account?
New Salon Customer registration gives the salon the contact information needed to create your client record and booking. A BookYourStylist account adds a secure login for account-based features offered by your stylist or salon.
How do I book an appointment?
Go to your stylist or salon's BookYourStylist site, choose the available booking option, select a service, date, and time when offered, then complete the requested information. Some services may require a deposit before the appointment is confirmed.
Why do some appointments require a deposit?
Deposit requirements are set by the participating stylist or salon. If a deposit is required, the amount and payment step will be shown during booking.
Will I receive appointment confirmations or reminders?
Participating businesses can send appointment-related email and, when you have opted in, SMS messages. These may include confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, cancellations, and deposit or payment status updates.
Do I have to receive text messages?
No. SMS messaging is optional. You must actively opt in before appointment-related texts are enabled. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.
How do I change or cancel an appointment?
Use the options provided in your BookYourStylist account when available, or contact your stylist or salon directly. Cancellation, rescheduling, deposit, and refund policies are determined by that business.
Why do services, prices, and policies differ between businesses?
BookYourStylist provides the technology, but each participating stylist or salon operates its own business. They control their services, pricing, availability, cancellation policies, deposits, and professional services.
Are my client details shared with other stylists?
BookYourStylist is designed around your relationship with the stylist or salon whose site you are using. Your information is used to operate the platform, support your account and appointments, and provide information to that participating business as needed to serve you. Is BookYourStylist the salon?
No. BookYourStylist is the technology platform. Participating stylists and salons are independent businesses responsible for the professional services they provide.
